- I understand that dentistry can be an investment. Can you explain more about your services?
Taking care of your teeth is an investment. It is an investment of time, energy, and money. For this reason you should seek care at an office that makes your health and wellbeing its highest priority. - What amenities does your office provide to reduce my anxiety about visiting the dentist?
You are at the right place!!! You can take advantage of several amenities to help you feel comfortable while you receive dental care. First, we have nitrous oxide available in every treatment room. Nitrous oxide, also called “laughing gas,” is a safe way to help you feel relaxed with minimum side effects. Second, each treatment room has a personal patient monitor that can show movies of your choice during your treatment . You are provided with cordless head phones so that you can hear the movie while we perform your dental treatment. Third, we can also offer you a clean, warm and soft chenille blanket, a soothing eye mask and aromatherapy to sooth your senses. Even if you simply desire a good cup of coffee, we can offer you several flavors of fresh coffee upon your request and made to your specification. You are treated with a warm towel for your face to refresh and recharge, at the end of each appointment. The bottom line is that we want you to feel comfortable in all aspects of your visit with us.
- What should I expect at my first visit?
You are special to us from the minute that you walk in our door. You will notice that the décor of our offices promotes a very soothing atmosphere. You are greeted by our scheduling/hygiene coordinator who will go over the paper work with you, answering all your questions regarding topics like dental insurance and payment options.
Then, our friendly clinical assistant will bring you to the clinical area and ask some specific questions regarding your medical history, dental history and goals for your visit. Next, Dr. Hopkins will perform a complete evaluation. Depending on your clinical situation, a professional dental cleaning is performed if your needs are straightforward. Should you need more care, we may invite you back for a courtesy treatment consultation if your treatment needs are extensive or cosmetic in nature. We will always go over your treatment needs in detail and your total dental investment prior to treatment. You are always in control of your treatment plan.
- Do you file my insurance for me? What do I need to pay when I come in for treatment?
Our office files insurance claims and takes insurance assignments as a courtesy to our patients. All you need to pay at the time of the appointment is your estimated co-payment portion. After we receive the insurance assignment, we notify you whether there is a credit or balance. We do not allow your insurance coverage to influence us in determining your appropriate treatment, but we will work to maximize your insurance benefits once your treatment plan has been determined. If there is a need for extensive dental work that goes beyond your insurance coverage, we have many payment options to help you to get the treatment that you need and desire.
